SPRING
LAKE TOWNSHIP
Annexation Information
FINAL ORDERLY ANNEXATION AGREEMENT POSTED September 2, 2003
UPDATE ON 4 KEY
ANNEXATION ISSUES
-
Prorated credit for those with "new" septic systems.
Prior Lake has agreed to a prorated 20 year credit for those properties that
are provided water and sewer. An example: someone has a 10 year
old septic system, water and sewer is installed in an area, this homeowner
would get a 50% credit on the assessment. They would still have to pay
the full TAC/WAC and connection, but the standard assessment would be
reduced by 50%.
-
Zoning ordinances and Building Permits.
Prior Lake has agreed to use the Scott County ordinances and people would
continue to go to Spring Lake Township for building permits. Any
variances would be handled by the "three person board".
-
Subdivision in the 2024 area.
Scott County will look at creating
new zoning to permit densities in this Vergus Avenue area higher than the
current 1/40, 1/10 with clustering.
-
Autumn acres year of annexation.
Rather than the last proposed 2007, Prior Lake has agreed to 1020.
